GRAPE VARIETIES
80% Sangiovese
20% Merlot, Canaiolo nero, Mammolo e Colorino
Our vineyards total approximately 2 hectares of grapes, divided into two separate plots. This DOC wine comes exclusively from the older of the two vineyards and while mostly made up of Sangiovese, it includes modest quantities of Merlot and Colorino. These different grapes help our wine obtain its beautiful color and pleasant aroma.
WINE MAKING
Our alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and maceration of the skins lasts for a maximum of three weeks. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in the steel tanks, after which we transfer the wine to french oak barrels for ageing.

18 months in 10 hl French Oak barrels
6 months in bottle
